"Survival necessitates adaptation", in accordance with this central idea, the grade 5 have decided to be well prepared for any obstacle that might arise. Visiting grade 6 allowed the students to be better prepared for their life in middle school. On March 15, the grade 5 students spent three periods and a recess in the grade 6 class. "All of the students were nice and welcoming to us" observed one of the grade 5 students. "They have so many teachers, but they are not so stressed like I thought they might be" mentioned another. "Just like us, when the bell rang they all raced to recess!" exclaimed another. When asked to set some goals for next year, so their transition would be smoother, a grade 5 student wrote: " I need to concentrate more, write notes and I should never forget to check the test calendar."
"Grade 6, here we come!"
