KG2 – GS RB watched “Firas AL-Attas” puppet show to learn about “how people use light to meet their needs” as part of the How the World Works Unit of Inquiry.

An evening session with Preschool parents exploring the different strategies children use to read and write.

Beyond Magazine article featuring several of IC's sustainability practices framed by the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The article includes details on two of our partnerships for sustainability initiatives in Lebanese public schools (SDG 17): 1. Rotary Club, for clean water filtration projects; and 2. American University of Beirut, for vertical agriculture projects which have also been incorporated into both our Ras Beirut and Ain Aar campuses.

Ras Beirut's Preschool students gave a presentation to mark the end of their unit 'Uses of Light'.

Grade 12 students attended Middle East Eating Disorders Association (MEEDA) presentations on the dangers of dieting and eating disorders. IC Secondary School parents were also invited to a MEEDA presentation, which took place during the latest ‘Coffee with the Counselors’ session. The program was arranged by the recently created Student Success and Support Services department.

Au programme : réalisation de pizzas, de crayons de cire, de glaces, de milkshakes, de gâteaux et de peinture.
L’enthousiasme des élèves et des parents fut indescriptible !

This Danielson Training Workshop is offered by senior workshop leader Mrs. Margaret Leibfried from the Danielson Group. The workshop is spread over four days and consists of:

Day 1, Feb 19: Introduction to the Framework for Teaching
Day 2, Feb 20: Observation Skills
Day 3, Feb 21: Student Engagement (innovative teaching practices)
Day 4, Feb 22: Using Assessment to Inform Instruction

IC welcomed the United Strings of Europe on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (22nd-24th February) to both campuses. Led by Julian Azkoul, the visiting group performed lovely tunes and educated students on musical instruments. A final performance took place on the Saturday evening in the Imad Taher Auditorium, Rockefeller Hall, as a special thank you from the SRC and Grade 12 students as a whole to their teachers and staff.
