The Middle School at Ras Beirut participated extensively in the all-College anti-bullying campaign. In addition to activities that are done each year during advisory sessions such as role play and creating scenarios and solutions, viewing YouTube segments on bullying in adolescence and leading discussions on the subject, creating slogans, researching photos and articles that are used in multimedia projects and shown on the TV screen in sage Hall, individual reflections and group discussions, the Middle School counseling team organized a campaign for the first week of May where the counselor prepared YouTube lead-in segments related to cyber bullying with prompt questions for the advisor to facilitate discussions and write reflections. Middle school students also signed a pledge against bullying and wore bracelets with the slogan: kindness makes a difference…pass it on. All Middle School faculty, staff and students came wearing white as a statement against bullying.
